In April of 2023, I earned 16 CEU's and became certified as a "Tarotpy Practitioner.” I was trained and certified by Lauren Z. Schneider, LMFT, who is the author of the book, Tarotpy - It's All In The Cards.

Tarotpy - It’s All in the Cards
A Pathway to Inner Wisdom, Divine Guidance, and Profound Healing

What on Earth is Tarotpy?

Tarotpy IS NOT A TAROT CARD READING, but images from tarot cards, or any type of card with images, can be implemented in a session. For example, you can even use art/images from a children’s book. The purpose of the Tarotpy method is to hold a psychotherapeutic discussion using image, metaphor, and symbology to connect the unconscious to the conscious world.

In other words, the images presented in a card layout using this method often are pleasantly surprising and eye-opening to the client with the synchronistic relevance to presenting life circumstances. This includes often ongoing patterns which the client may not be fully acknowledging and managing with complete awareness. The layouts almost always tend to highlight such information, leading to discussions that facilitate insight and change.

I was inspired when I learned of the method, and thus became certified as a way to assist more clients in creating the changes they desire!

I have found that a session conducted in this fashion can assist people much more quickly than traditional talk therapy to uncover core/root issues in a safe, powerful, and creative way.

Per the words of developer, Lauren Schneider, Tarotpy is “a pioneering method of using the symbolic language of tarot, dream, soul and other image cards to literally ‘lay the unconscious on the table,’” and, “Tarotpy works as an interactive process to go beyond the ‘aha’ of traditional therapies and provide an ‘awe’ inspiring experience, awakening greater awareness and choices.”

Tarotpy can assist you, as the client, to create greater breakthroughs and develop deeper insights into life circumstances and situations, thus opening up the door to improved solutions and clarity.

If you are interested in dreamwork, Tarotpy can be a highly effective technique to assist you in applying the enigmatic experience of dreams into your “real life” circumstances.

What does a Tarotpy session entail?

Tarotpy was initially conducted in-person, however, there are two different methods to effectively facilitate a session over telehealth. You may use your own cards, or I will have options for you to choose from. There is a structured sequence in how a card layout is determined per this method.

Once we have your layout, I will facilitate a screen-shared discussion that will assist you to develop insight into the situation(s) that bring you to a Tarotpy session.
